Schedule: Full Time | Hybrid

A growing educational organization in Lake Forest is seeking a hands‑on Controller with direct experience in the Education, Academy, or Private School sector. This is a key leadership role supporting the financial operations of a mission‑driven institution dedicated to excellence, community, and student success.

• Oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger, month‑end close, and financial reporting
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for academic operations
• Manage payroll, tuition billing, student accounts, and grant/fund reporting
• Ensure compliance with education‑sector regulations, audits, and reporting requirements
• Provide leadership and direction to the accounting team
• Partner with school leadership to support strategic initiatives and financial planning

• 10+ years of accounting and finance experience
• Experience working for a school, academy, educational institution, or nonprofit education organization
• 3+ years of leadership and team‑management experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting
