We create sophisticated, horticulturally rich landscapes for discerning private clients, blending artistic design with botanical excellence.
What You’ll Do- Develop conceptual designs, master plans, planting plans, and hardscape designs
- Prepare presentation materials including sketches, renderings, and digital visuals
- Conduct site analysis and develop design solutions responsive to site and client needs
- Produce construction-ready documents including grading, drainage, and planting plans
- Manage multiple complex projects from concept through installation
- Coordinate project timelines and deliverables
- Conduct site visits to monitor installation quality and resolve field issues
- Collaborate with horticulture, installation, and garden care teams
- Lead client relationships after onboarding, guiding them through full project lifecycle
- Present design concepts persuasively to clients
- Mentor associate designers and contribute to studio standards
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture
- Registered Landscape Architect (RLA)
- Minimum 7 years of residential landscape design experience
- Strong AutoCAD proficiency; hand rendering skills preferred
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- Deep knowledge of Midwestern plants and horticultural applications
- Strong understanding of grading, drainage, irrigation, and construction principles
- Exceptional presentation and client relationship skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and committed to design excellence
- Full-time, year-round role in Lake Forest, IL
- Hybrid work available one day per week after 90 days
- Regular site visits throughout the Chicago metro area
- Requires personal transportation and ability to walk varied terrain
- Salary: $95,000–$110,000, commensurate with experience
