The Director,
Distributor Strategy is a newly created leadership role charged with designing and implementing a comprehensive distributor management capability for the Molecular Division. The distributor strategy should include go-to-market decision analytics (incl., distributor selection), ensuring distributor compliance with Abbott standards and expectations, and performance improvement activities across several KPI (margin, sales, share capture, customer satisfaction, etc.). The Director, Distributor Strategy will report to division commercial leadership and work closely with the regional leadership teams to ensure strategies are executed according to plan and that distribution initiatives support and enhance broader commercial objectives.

Key ResponsibilitiesDistributor Engagement
:
Build and maintain strong relationships with area leadership teams to co-develop growth strategies, resolve field-level collaboration challenges, and align on joint initiatives.Strategic Channel Planning
:
Align field execution with broader distribution strategies to optimize channel performance and support commercial goals.Voice of the Customer: Represent the distribution customer internally, surfacing market insights, identifying opportunities for innovation, and escalating emerging challenges to the leadership team.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
:
Partner with internal teams including marketing, sales, market access, contracts & pricing, and operations to ensure seamless execution and alignment with business objectives.Performance Monitoring
:
Track market trends and key performance indicators, providing actionable insights and recommendations to inform strategy and enhance field impact
Education:
Bachelor's degree15+ years of progressive experience in the diagnostics industry, with deep expertise in specialty channel development and distributor management.
7+ years of direct, front-line sales experience, demonstrating strong distributor engagement, marketing acumen, and the ability to build long-term strategic relationships with specialty channel customers.
5+ years of successful sales team leadership
Demonstrated ability to communicate at the executive level
