Senior Compliance Analyst – Lake Forest, IL
Abbott’s Office of Ethics & Compliance is looking for a Sr. Compliance Analyst to support the development, updating, and maintenance of Abbott’s compliance program at the franchise, business unit, regional, divisional, or corporate level. The role will also assist in the development and administration of the OEC training and education program and the implementation of the divisional monitoring plan.
Responsibilities- Support and communicate with divisional management to provide OEC and divisional policy interpretation and requirements, and assist with compliance risk assessment, trend analysis, and best‑practice recommendations.
- Independently analyze various business transactions to provide guidance and appropriate advice regarding any compliance matters associated with Abbott policies and industry standards.
- Support execution of the annual business unit monitoring plan with a focus on activities of highest risk.
- Develop and maintain transactional compliance metrics, monitor compliance trends, and advise on remediation plans and corrective actions.
- Assist in facilitating the routing for review of new and/or updated divisional policies, procedures, and related forms.
- Review and provide feedback on routine business applications, including making decisions about whether programs are approved within policy guidelines.
- Deliver OEC training programs on OEC and divisional policies and procedures.
- Identify basic legal and regulatory issues and elevate as appropriate.
- Develop knowledge of Abbott’s business and client areas supported.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or 3 years of equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, government affairs, or finance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel file management and PowerPoint presentations.
- Experience with data analytics; building, iterating, and managing reports and dashboards in Power
BI or Tableau.
- Business level proficiency in additional languages.
- Experience working in the medical device, diagnostics, or life sciences industry.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Highly skilled at organizing and prioritizing tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues at all levels.
Base pay: $78,000.00 – $ (location-based variation may apply).
