Warehouse Technician/Delivery Driver – Adapt Health
This role supports Adapt Health’s mission of providing full‑service home medical equipment and services that empower patients to live their best lives outside the hospital. The Warehouse Technician/Delivery Driver will manage order processing, inventory management, and equipment delivery to patients and facilities.
Responsibilities- Process orders, prepare items for shipment, and update shipping information.
- Perform data entry, faxing, scanning, filing, and general phone calls.
- Prepare shipping containers and create labels.
- Review customer item lists, assemble outgoing merchandise, and verify contents against invoices or bills of lading.
- Receive and open merchandise shipments, process packing slips or invoices, and safe‑store items.
- Document returned items and clean equipment following Branch Maintenance and Cleaning Guidelines.
- Adhere to PPE, infection control, hazardous materials handling, and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) protocols.
- Assist in stocking, tracking, and replenishing inventory.
- Collect and deliver packages to the shipping area.
- Communicate stock shortages or outages to the warehouse manager promptly.
- Monitor expiration dates and return or re‑inventorize supplies per company guidelines.
- Deliver equipment when requested, following Driving Policy and required driver training.
- Educate customers on proper use and care of respiratory and home medical equipment.
- Complete patient visit reports, perform assessments, and provide routine preventive maintenance or repairs.
- Report equipment hazards or product incidents as required.
- Assume on‑call responsibilities during non‑business hours.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
- Complete assigned compliance training and educational programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Equipment repair or maintenance skills.
- Problem‑solving with attention to detail.
- Prioritization and multi‑task management.
- Cleaning, testing, and repairing home medical equipment.
- Identifying safety hazards and implementing precautions.
- Accurate inventory handling (receive, stock, retrieve, load).
- Cooperative teamwork.
- Independent decision making.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
- Regularly lift and move up to 85 lbs; frequently up to 100 lbs; occasionally up to 160 lbs.
- Perform moderate to heavy physical labor while moving equipment and supplies.
- Subject to long periods of sitting and driving.
- Work environment can be stressful due to fluctuating workload.
- Exposure to unsanitary conditions, hazardous materials, noise, extreme temperatures, and infectious pathogens.
- Drive independently and travel as needed.
- Potential exposure to difficult customers and high‑crime areas.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with empathy and respect for customer privacy.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Construction, manual labor, military, equipment repair, or maintenance experience considered related.
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license in the state of residence.
- For senior level: 2 years of work‑related experience and 1 year of exact job experience.
