Position Overview

The Guitar Center Company is hiring a GC Retail Sr. Sales Associate Store 122 position. The role is a full‑time, retail sales associate focused on providing a superior customer experience in a music store environment.

Pay Rate: $19.26/hr - $29.14/hr plus commission, depending on background and experience. The pay range listed is provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

• Customer Engagement:
  Create a welcoming environment where customers feel inspired to explore their musical passions and help them find the perfect gear.
• Sales and Revenue Generation:
  Achieve and exceed sales targets, upselling and cross‑selling instruments, accessories and related products.
• Product Knowledge:
  Maintain expert-level knowledge of our gear and assist in knowledge sharing with the team.
• Customer Relationship Building:
  Grow a fanbase, maintain strong relationships and help the associate team foster local community ties.
• Merchandising and Store Maintenance:
  Organize displays, restock shelves and uphold a music‑store vibe.
• Store Support and Operations:
  Guide and mentor team members, support customer interactions and operational tasks, and serve as a key holder for opening and closing when required.

• Passion for music and a solid understanding of instruments and accessories.
• Proven sales success and a track record of exceeding targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Resilience in a fast‑paced retail environment with strong organizational ability.
• Ability to influence and inspire teammates toward common goals.
• Flexibility to work additional hours, including nights and weekends, when needed.
