Registered Nurse - Part-Time 1st Shift

Freedom Village Healthcare Center has an immediate opening for a Registered Nurse to join our team! New grads welcome!

• Current license as a Registered Nurse in California. Current CPR
• Clinical skills, bedside manner, infection control, nursing skills, physiological knowledge, administering medication, medical teamwork, multi-tasking, listening, verbal communication, health promotion and maintenance

• Administrative tasks, gathers medical information prior to admission
• Provide resident care upon admission
• Administer medication or take vitals as necessary
• Examine and provide education to the resident regarding the admission process
• Identifies resident care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and current residents and other persons in a position to understand care requirements
• Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to residents, friends, and families
• Promotes resident’s independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching resident, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions
• Maintains acceptable standards of nursing practice with compliance of mandatory standards established by Freedom Village
• Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against resident care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following facility and nursing division's philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations
• Prepares, administers, and charts medications according to the physician’s order and schedule as directed by the procedure manuals, state regulations (Title 22, OBRA) and reports to physician as needed
• Responsible for interpretation and execution of the physician’s orders
• Makes decisions in emergency situations and practices first aid measures. Follows policy and procedures for safety, resident rights, reporting requirements, and emergency situations such as fire and earthquakes
• Responsible for accurate observations, evaluations and reporting of resident’s symptoms, reactions and progress to the Director of Nursing, Administrator and others participating in care and treatment of the resident
• Assists in discharge process of residents.

Schedule:

Part time days 12-hour shifts, 7:00 am to 8:00 pm

RN Salary: up to $51.00 per hour DOE.
