The Test Technician will test a variety of electronics equipment for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) compliance with international agency regulations. This equipment often incorporates new and emerging technologies. The technician will operate test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, RF receivers, oscilloscopes, and other RF test devices. They will work directly with clients to identify solutions to EMC design problems, which may contribute to resolving failures.
Responsibilities include compiling test data into technical reports for clients and relevant agencies, calibrating test equipment, maintaining the test lab, assisting with agency audits, and continuous learning. The technician should be a team player.
Qualifications:
An associate degree in Electronics or Computers with some experience is acceptable; a degree in Electronics is a plus. Basic electronics knowledge is preferable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. The candidate must be punctual, organized, dependable, and eager to learn and grow with the company.
Salary:
Compensation will be based on education, knowledge, and experience. Overtime is paid; there is no commission.
