Truck Driver

Job Description:

Truck Driver CLASSIFICATION PURPOSE

This non-exempt job classification is responsible for transporting company materials, equipment, and/or staff to the areas where they are required in a safe, timely, and cost-efficient manner; perform related work as required.

• Drive company vehicles safely, ensuring compliance with traffic and safety regulations
• Transport staff, materials, and equipment to designated locations
• Perform routine vehicle checks and basic maintenance (e.g., oil, fuel, cleanliness)
• Load and unload company materials as required
• Maintain detailed driving logs, records, receipts, and paperwork
• Use navigation tools and local knowledge to plan efficient routes
• Keep vehicles clean inside and out; report mechanical or electrical issues promptly
• Follow inclement weather safety practices and drive with caution in various conditions
• Communicate respectfully with colleagues, vendors, and worksite partners

• Education/
  
  Experience:
  
  Minimum of 2 years' professional experience with equipment and driving truck.
• License: Valid Class A Driver’s License required and must be maintained throughout employment

Range: $ 25.00- $35.00 per hour DOE

Frequently sits while driving a vehicle for long periods of time or for numerous short intermittent time frames; pick up or move objects; move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; normal manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination; corrected hearing and vision to normal range.

Pre-employment: Incumbents must sign the Confidentiality, Non-disclosure, and Non-solicitation Agreement prior to their first day on the job.

License: A valid class A driver’s license, which must be maintained throughout employment in this job classification, is required at the time of appointment.

Certifications: No certifications are required of this job classification.

Language: While not required, basic bilingual English and Spanish skills are preferred for this classification.

Working Conditions: Work is predominately outdoors in a moving vehicle, exposed to varying temperatures, weather conditions, and noise levels; exposure to dust, pesticides, herbicides, grease, oils, dust, fumes, and electrical currents.

Background Investigation: Incumbents must have a reputation for honesty and trustworthiness. Misdemeanor and/or felony convictions may be disqualifying depending on type, number, severity, and recency. Prior to appointment, candidates may be subject to a background investigation and/or drug test.

Introductory Period: Incumbents appointed to this job classification serve an introductory period of three months.

The Key Performance Indicators for this position will be specified at the time of appointment.
