MINIMUM STARTING SALARY: $31,200.00

The City of Lake City is accepting applications for the position of WWTP Maintenance Technician. This position must possess a basic understanding of standard maintenance procedures. Work is performed under the general direction of the Spray field Superintendent.

This ideal candidate must assist in such activities as mechanical maintenance and/or installation of equipment and their respective components. This role must learn to operate all motorized equipment incidental to the treatment process in a safe and efficient manner. This role must learn to locate existing in plant piping system and respective components (i.e. valves, service laterals, manholes, sewer cleanouts, etc.)

Assists in the inspection, repair, or otherwise replacement of equipment within the treatment facilities. Transports equipment, supplies, tools, and other materials as needed to and from job sites.

• Responds to emergency callouts which result in making the necessary repairs to any section of the treatment facilities or its respective components.
• Assists in the inspection, repair, or replacement of equipment within the treatment facilities.
• Transports equipment, supplies, tools, and other materials as needed to and from job sites.

• Applicants must be a High School graduate or hold a possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
• Must have basic knowledge of installation, maintenance and repair of wastewater treatment facilities.
