Based out of Lake City, FL QEP is looking for an experienced Field Service Technician/Diesel Mechanic to join our Service Team. The tech will travel to customers' locations to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair customer equipment. Applicants must have experience with heavy equipment repair so they can determine parts and tools necessary for repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical diagnostics and along with following through with repairs.
- Inspect and perform needed preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues with diesel engines.
- Perform work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Account for all time in company systems and for all material used in performing assigned duties.
- Advise customers on equipment.
- Work well with and around others.
- Perform other maintenance related work as assigned.
- Two years of previous heavy equipment experience, must.
- Own your own tools. Be fully self-sufficient while on jobsite.
- Excellent mechanical abilities, with a detailed understanding of the engine, power train, hydraulics, as well as the ability to read electrical schematics on all electrical systems. Candidate will receive training on manufacturer-specific procedures.
- Welding experience is required.
- ASE certification, a plus
- Class A CDL, a plus.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.

- Monday – Friday work week
- $600 annual tool allowance
- Vacation and holiday pay
- Everything to work on the road, service truck, laptop, cover the cost of travel to customer site, i.e., hotels, meals, fuel, etc.
