RN Medical‑Surgical Nurse

Apply to join the RN Med Surg team at HCA Florida Lake City Hospital. We are looking for a nursing professional dedicated to delivering patient‑centered care in an advanced technology‑driven environment.

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with department standards and state requirements. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team, provide personalized and compassionate care, and advocate for patients, families, and caregivers. The role includes care of patients admitting to the medical‑surgical unit and monitoring them throughout each shift.

• Assess patient condition during admission and at the start of each shift, promptly identifying and reporting changes in status.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers and document care administration in the patient record accurately and on time.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and take appropriate action if an unintended response occurs.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs, and resolving them.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex terminology.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
