The Maintenance Supervisor supervises assigned employees with the assistance of Lead Mechanics in accordance with company policies and procedures. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe work environment, managing costs and delivering a quality aircraft/product on time.

• Supervise and direct activities of all personnel assigned, ensuring maintenance is completed in compliance with company policies, procedures and applicable FAA regulations
• Promote a culture of safety by ensuring work is performed within HAECO safety guidelines
• Prioritize all work to be accomplished during a specific shift for the assigned area and forecast for the next 48 hours
• Plan and review with Project Manager accomplishments on the project planned vs. actual for each previous shift and the upcoming 24-hour period
• Obtain customer approval on original, additional and/or revised estimates to accomplish maintenance on the customer's aircraft and components and manage OASIS with assistance from the Project Manager
• Update Project Manager daily on planned man-hours for the day, man-hours expended vs plan, and variance
• Report on routine and non-routine items open and completed; identify areas that may affect release dates (parts, engineering, lengthy work orders)
• Assist Project Manager to coordinate with support groups to ensure alignment with aircraft schedule
• Coordinate with the Inspection department during the primary inspection phase and during delivery for paperwork accountability
• Assist the Project Manager with billing the service order within the 5-day goal after aircraft departure
• Communicate with management from other shifts to ensure smooth shift turnover
• Supervise assigned employees by prioritizing and assigning work with Lead Mechanics, ensuring milestones and deliveries are met
• Conduct employee meetings to communicate important work issues
• Assist with HR duties for the assigned area, including interviewing applicants, coaching, evaluations, disciplinary actions, attendance, and scheduling
• Provide clear communication to employees regarding work; ensure employees are qualified for the work and develop technical skills as needed
• Ensure employees attend training as scheduled
• Perform administrative functions including: audit paperwork, toolbox inspections, and tooling log checks
• Ensure mechanics are assigned to correct jobs with no unassigned time; write RFTS and assist engineering as needed; write N/Rs with Lead Mechanic assistance
• Ensure parts are available for aircraft and shortages are resolved; communicate with onsite customer and assist with customer needs

• 5+ years of experience as an accomplished aircraft mechanic with progression of responsibilities, or 2 years with demonstrated ability within HAECO
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate (Composites Skill requires only Airframe certificate)
• Must be on the electronic roster
• Read, write, speak and understand English
• Ability to interpret drawings and blueprints
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Basic computer skills and a high school diploma or equivalent
• Flexible hours and possible off shifts
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must be able to wear and breathe through a full-face respirator
• May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and requires use of safety equipment
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and stand for prolonged periods; climb ladders
• Visual acuity at least 20/40 (corrected) and ability to distinguish color
• Normal or corrected hearing
• Must be able to access all areas of the aircraft
