Overview
The Substance Use Disorder Senior Social Worker works in the Mental Health Clinic, SUD section and provides outreach, coordination and treatment services to Veterans with highly complex substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health problems in the North Florida/South Georgia catchment area. Located in Lake City, FL.
RequirementsThe position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
The North Florida /South Georgia VA Healthcare System's Mental Health Service is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Social Worker - Substance Use Disorder. Ideal applicants are those who want to contribute to the achievement of quality care standards, as well as the growth and development of a VA academic hospital program. You must be an excellent communicator and team player who is adaptable to the needs of a growing medical center.
ResponsibilitiesMajor duties of the Senior Social Worker SUD include, but are not limited to:
