Portable Restroom Driver

The Pump Truck Driver operates the pump truck on pre‑determined routes, controlling the truck’s pump or similar equipment to collect waste from portable sanitation units and deposit their contents into the truck.

Full‑time & Part‑time; non‑exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Lake Charles, LA area

$22.00/hr – $27.00/hr

• Operate the pump truck on a pre‑determined route and safely control the pump to collect receptacles and deposit their contents in the truck.
• Hook up and pull trailers.
• Perform and document pre‑operation safety checks on the vehicle before commencing the route.
• Refuel the truck and perform basic maintenance.
• Coordinate proper maintenance and mechanical service on the truck with appropriate mechanics.
• Transport waste to the proper location for processing and/or disposal.
• Notify dispatchers and/or supervisors of delays, unsafe sites, accidents, breakdowns, or other issues and document the same.
• Maintain logs of pickup times, daily mileage, and dump logs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• 3 years of required commercial driving experience, 5 years required.
• Must be at least 25 years of age or older, due to insurance requirements for operating company vehicles.
• TWIC card preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends during the storm season.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License or similar classification to operate a pump truck is required.
• CDL license preferred.
• Ability to work overtime (nights and weekends) when needed.
• Ability to work and drive in a variety of weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be located in the Lake Charles, LA area.
