CDL A Driver Hazmat - Nitrogen Transport Driver (R)

Location: Lake Charles, LA

Job Summary: Airgas is hiring a CDL A Driver Hazmat to safely deliver liquid nitrogen to customer locations. You will communicate daily with the district manager and field supervisor to ensure high customer service levels and efficient operations while upholding the Airgas Nitrogen Services safety culture and DOT regulations.

• Transport liquid nitrogen to assigned customer sites.
• Maintain safe and efficient operations, following DOT rules and Airgas safety procedures.
• Communicate daily with district manager and field supervisor to coordinate deliveries.

• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A CDL with Haz Mat and Tanker endorsements.
• Registered TWIC Card.
• At least 1 year of tractor‑trailer driving experience within the last four years.
• At least 1 year of tanker driving experience within the last four years.
• Basic computer knowledge – able to use cell phones and email.
• Right attitude and willingness to learn.
• Proficiency with manual transmission vehicles.

• High school diploma, GED, or two years of technical college or military technical experience.
• Forklift experience.
• Basic knowledge of cryogenic pumps, tanks, transport equipment, and diesel engines.
• Experience with bulk tankers.
• Knowledge of industrial gases.

• Competitive base salary with potential earnings of $100,000+ per year.
• Quarterly incentive bonus.
• $2,000 driver referral bonus (unlimited).
• Travel: 80–100% domestic travel (private rooms, no roommate).
• Work schedule allows 21 consecutive days on assignment with 7 paid days off. Earn an extra $500 bonus per day if working during the paid days off.
