Revv Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med Surg unit. In this role, you will provide direct and indirect patient care, oversee patient assignments, perform nursing procedures within your scope of practice, and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. This position requires professional communication with patients, families, and colleagues, accurate documentation, and leadership in patient care activities.

• Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to meet physical, psychosocial, environmental, and emotional needs.
• Perform initial assessments on admissions, develop care plans, coordinate referrals, and participate in discharge planning with case management.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately per physician/NP orders.
• Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and IVs; start, maintain, and adjust IV infusions as needed.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, including CPR and code blue situations.
• Collect, label, store, and deliver specimens following proper precautions.
• Complete thorough, accurate shift-change reports to the oncoming RN, LPN, and CNA.
• Delegate responsibilities and patient assignments to appropriate staff when applicable.
• Assist physicians/NP and support other staff with procedures and rounds as needed.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings, in‑services, and select committees.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform other nursing duties as delegated within scope and state law.

• Current RN license in Louisiana
• Required
  
  Certifications:
  
  BLS/CPR, CPI/MOAB/EDGE, ACLS
• Preferred
  
  Certifications:
  
  PALS (for Med Surg)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and compliant with LSBN CEU requirements
• Knowledge of CPSI charting preferred
• Proficient in medication administration, patient documentation, and basic computer skills
• Strong verbal, written and leadership communication skills
• Ability to work physically demanding shifts, including lifting, bending, walking and responding to emergencies
