Manager, Facilities Maintenance Operations - Licensed Plumber

Position Summary

At Walmart, we're seeking a dynamic and experienced Licensed Manager for Facilities Maintenance Operations to oversee the predictive and preventative maintenance of our facilities within a regional area. In this role you will lead a team of dedicated technicians, ensuring our buildings operate efficiently and sustainably while providing a safe and comfortable environment for associates and customers.

• Lead and motivate a team of technicians.
• Work directly with Store Managers and Facility Services Leadership on facility services needs.
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors as required.
• Prepare and analyze reporting and analytics related to maintenance performance.
• Maintain up‑to‑date contractor licenses to ensure good standing with relevant authorities.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor regulatory compliance and quality standards.
• Obtain and secure all necessary permits; schedule inspections as mandated by mechanical or building codes.
• Travel approximately 50% or more within the region.

• 3–5 years of facilities services and overall building maintenance experience.
• Experience in electrical, plumbing, and/or mechanical work.
• Leadership experience; able to lead, motivate, and develop others.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem‑solving skills with root‑cause and breakdown analysis.
• Customer‑service orientation.

• EPA Universal Certification.
• PMP Certification.
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge.
• Current Louisiana Plumbing Contractor license in good standing.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering, or related area (or 5 years of related experience).
• EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire.

• Experience in building controls or related area.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams.
• External work experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in optical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environments.
• State and jurisdiction‑required certification and license for the state/jurisdiction of work.
• State mechanical contractor’s license (Type I and Type II EPA certification for refrigerant handling).
