About The Role
The Information Technology Technician is responsible for day-to-day technical support, system monitoring, asset management, and maintaining secure, reliable operations across all departments. This position is responsible for ensuring that all hardware, software, and network systems operate efficiently and securely to support business operations. The technician will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, perform routine maintenance, and assist users with IT-related problems to minimize downtime.
They will also contribute to the installation and configuration of new technology solutions, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance. Ultimately, this role ensures that the organization's IT environment is reliable, secure, and aligned with operational needs.
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in technical support, helpdesk, or system administration.
- Proficient in Windows environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with Ninja One or other RMM tools preferred.
- Strong understanding of networking principles and cybersecurity best practices.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA).
- Experience with enterprise-level IT environments and help desk ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and tools.
- Ability to script or automate routine tasks using Power Shell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
- Experience supporting mobile devices and remote users.
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and peripherals.
- Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
- Troubleshoot VPN, Teams, and Outlook connectivity issues.
- Support business‑critical systems, including DRX Pharmacy Software.
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Assist with VLAN segmentation, network upgrades, and disaster recovery testing.
- Monitor systems using Ninja One and respond to performance or security alerts.
- Support deployment and monitoring of Sentinel One and MFA enforcement.
- Utilize Ninja One for patch management, system monitoring, and ticketing.
- Support automation scripts for onboarding/offboarding and software deployment.
- Implement and maintain the IT Asset Tagging & Inventory System.
- Maintain detailed IT documentation, including network diagrams and SOPs.
- Participate in internal IT audits and provide improvement recommendations.
