Our client is seeking a skilled professional to maintain and enhance their electrical control systems. This role requires a proactive approach to diagnosing and resolving electrical control failures, supporting engineering designs, and ensuring safety compliance. If you have a knack for troubleshooting and a passion for maintaining optimal production environments, this opportunity is for you.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical control failures, including sensors, actuators, and networked control components.
- Support the design and development of electrical control systems and devices.
- Assist in testing systems, documenting procedures, and recording performance results.
- Troubleshoot quality issues and maintain roll form machinery and ancillary equipment.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure safe and efficient production.
- Interface with PLCs for troubleshooting and minor logic modifications.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and internal safety policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of electrical configurations and maintenance records.
- Assist in the assembly, programming, and installation of equipment.
- Provide training to internal personnel as needed.
- Perform other related duties and support company projects as assigned.
- Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
- Physical requirements include bending, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to work in confined spaces and at varying heights.
- Availability for overtime and weekend work as needed.
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent technical experience.
- Experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and interfacing.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and safety circuits.
- Familiarity with VFDs, relays, sensors, HMIs, and Ethernet-based control networks.
- Proficiency in Windows and MS Office applications.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
