POSITION: Senior Process Engineer
LOCATION: Lake Charles
SUMMARY OF POSITIONMotivated Process Engineer contributing technical expertise, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, and project delivery with high level of independence and ownership
RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform broad range of process engineering fundamentals
- Develop heat and material balances
- Develop process flow diagrams
- Develop process specifications for equipment
- Develop hydraulic circuit pressure drop analysis
- Develop heat integration/recovery analysis
- Develop preliminary piping and instrumentation diagrams
- Develop and directs process unit test runs
- Troubleshoot client processes
- Develop process designs
- Develop relief valve design and validation per API RP 520/521
- Provide written process narratives and process engineering reports
- Directly interface with clients
- Interface with the multidiscipline detailed design group
- Assists Sr. Estimator and Scheduler in the development of cost estimating, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Perform at or below project budget
- Actively pursue professional engineering license (if not already licensed)
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering from accredited program
- 8+ years of process engineering experience or operations
- Ability to communicate effectively with multi-discipline teams and clients
- Ability to peer review and quality check engineering deliverables
Extensive Process Simulation experience (HYSYS, UNISYS preferred) - P.E. license preferred
- Available for short-term travel
Reports to the Process Department Engineer Manager
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times
- Ability to perform field work as required at client sites
