- Efficiently manage promotional projects by working with Engineering Resource Leaders to estimate Professional Services man hours, control costs, and achieve project objectives.
- Manage commercial contracts on one or more projects of various sizes; ensure timely invoicing, process Project Change Notices, review the monthly Office Earnings Report, and keep project plans current in Vision.
- Maintain project control by tracking budget progress, schedules, and quality standards; utilize project controls tools.
- Participate in major technical, cost, scheduling, and performance decisions on assigned projects.
- Understand project scope, client deliverables, and design criteria; align schedule and budget with deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Identify and communicate scope and design changes; champion the Project Change Notice process and promote change management.
- Lead a productive team within Hargrove and with the client; recognize outstanding contributions where applicable.
- Coordinate resource requirements with other ongoing work and align expectations of all parties.
- Plan and organize the work of the team; communicate the plan to leadership, the client, and stakeholders; conduct weekly coordination meetings.
- Provide timely reporting, including weekly and monthly reports with a comprehensive action item list.
- Review engineering documents, vendor submittals, fabrication drawings, and other construction submittals for compliance with drawings, specifications, and project objectives; ensure documentation is properly reviewed.
- Ensure standard project work processes are followed across engineering, procurement, and construction.
- Interview discipline leads to maintain progress against hours expended and oversee the financial health of each project with discipline leads responsible for deliverables within budget.
- Assess performance of project team members and organize a qualified, motivated team with resource leadership.
- Ensure client-approved project documentation and provide Construction Phase Support, startup assistance, and RFI responses as needed.
- Manage client decision-making timelines and package approvals; foster long-term client relationships and opportunities for additional services.
- Complete project closeout as required by the client.
- Proactively manage client needs at all stages of the project.
- Education: Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering from an accredited university is preferred.
- Certification: Professional Engineering and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) registration is highly preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in engineering and project management.
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Knowledge of Hargrove EPC project execution procedures, company standards and practices, and project controls tools; ability to lead a team and manage client relationships in complex situations; strong communication and leadership skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
