Louisiana LNG is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre-treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups.

The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000m3 full-containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities within the Tanks area operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. #LI-BH1

Major Responsibilities:
  • Supports Construction Mechanical Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Tanks Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents
  • Performing inspections and initiating supporting documentation for all discipline system installations on an ongoing basis within the Tanks area.
  • Providing support to field supervision in establishing requirements for manpower, tools, equipment, and material requirements for a given work evolution
  • Preparing short- and long-term schedules, and interfacing with the superintendents and other discipline field engineers
  • Executing field material takeoffs from "Issued For Construction" drawings
  • Providing input to the quantity tracking applications and reporting on weekly installed quantities to Project Controls
  • Preparing field material requisitions for equipment and materials, and monitoring status of purchase orders and deliveries
  • Trouble-shooting the design, resolving issues with engineering and/or fabricator using formal field documentation processes

    Ensuring all installations are per latest revisions of design drawings, specifications, standards and codes
  • Acting as point of contact for coordination and resolution of all technical issues related to select contractors on site who provide technical services for the execution of the permanent plant mechanical scope of work.
  • Completing and verifying quality documentation per inspection and test plans
  • Completing final system walk-downs, deficiency tracking and close-out
  • Completing and reviewing as-built documentation
  • Monitoring actual work performance compared to the project budget and schedule
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
