Overview
Our client is seeking a Commercial Superintendent to oversee on-site construction activities for commercial projects. This role is responsible for day-to-day field leadership, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedules, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to quality standards. Ground-up commercial construction experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities- Manage daily jobsite operations for commercial construction projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, and material deliveries
- Enforce jobsite safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Monitor project schedules and proactively address delays or conflicts
- Ensure construction work is completed per plans, specifications, and quality expectations
- Conduct regular jobsite walks and inspections
- Communicate effectively with Project Managers, subcontractors, and inspectors
- Maintain daily reports, documentation, and field records
- Support project closeout and punch list completion
- Approximately 5 years of commercial construction experience
- Ground-up commercial project experience preferred
- Experience with office building construction is a plus
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and field operations
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and coordinate trades
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
