Position Description
The Senior Project Manager leads by example, upholding and promoting the company's core values—Safety, Integrity, Excellence, Motivation, and Accountability. The role requires consistent focus on ensuring personal and team safety while conducting business with the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee heavy highway construction projects, ensuring safe and efficient operations in accordance with DOTD and OSHA regulations.
- Manage project budgets, including submittals, change orders, cost/revenue projections, project billings, and closeout processes.
- Apply construction knowledge, including heavy highway practices and traffic control regulations.
- Utilize ViewPoint, Primavera P6, and Heavy Job software (preferred, but not required).
- Plan, lead, and coordinate various construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors per plans, specifications, and agreements.
- Lead weekly job site meetings, ensuring progress and milestone goals are met.
- Conduct internal and external meetings, including pre-construction, owner-contractor meetings, and lessons-learned sessions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, maintaining a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Position Requirements
Requirements:
- BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or at least 4 years of relevant Project Management experience in heavy highway construction.
- Strong knowledge of DOTD and OSHA rules, constructability, and traffic control regulations.
- Ability to manage project schedules, project cost projections, and subcontractor relationships.
- Valid Driver's License with a Clear driving record.
