Senior Manager, Distribution Services-Merchandise

Overview

Join the Distribution Services team and lead operations that move merchandise across Walt Disney World Resort (WDW) and Disney Cruise Line (DCL). As the Senior Manager, Distribution Services – Merchandise, you’ll oversee warehouse and logistics functions, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery every day.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners, frontline leaders, and executives to align operational needs and keep workflows running smoothly. You’ll support key technology and automation initiatives and provide field-level guidance during project execution. This position reports to the Director, Distribution Services.

• Lead and develop a high-performing team supporting merchandise distribution for WDW and DCL.
• Oversee daily operations in a 24/7 warehouse environment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and service excellence.
• Support planning and execution of technology, automation, and system enhancement initiatives.
• Partner with engineering, operations, labor representatives, and business leaders to align on priorities.
• Optimize workflows, documentation, compliance, and performance standards.
• Conduct on-site reviews to support leaders and monitor operational execution.
• Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Lead key initiatives including process improvements and major system upgrades.
• Maintain operational records and performance reporting.
• Support troubleshooting of distribution systems and processes.

• 7+ years of leadership experience in operations, logistics, distribution, or warehouse environments.
• Strong understanding of distribution operations, warehouse workflows, and automation.
• Proven ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders.
• Experience with technology-driven operations and data-supported decision-making.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Leadership experience in unionized operations.
• Experience supporting multi-location operations.
• Lean Six Sigma or similar process-improvement certification.
• Experience in merchandise distribution or product handling.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
