Join Walt Disney Imagineering to lead on‑site construction activities for groundbreaking theme park and resort projects. The Superintendent Senior (Project Hire) role is based in Lake Buena Vista, Florida and reports to a General Superintendent.

Construction Management is responsible for supervising and coordinating all on‑site construction activities, monitoring quality and safety in the field, and ensuring work meets the quality requirements of contract documents, applicable codes, and Disney standards. The role coordinates and works with contractors, operations, vendors, and governmental agencies, ensuring all team members meet the schedule, budget, and quality requirements outlined in the project scope.
PrimaryDuties
- Project influencer and early risk evaluator, providing strategic thinking during pre‑construction.
- Identifies and monitors applicable points of coordination at multiple levels.
- Arbitrates on‑site conflicts between contractors.
- Leads commissioning activities outlined in specifications and codes.
- Leads overall QA/QC program.
- Leads overall project logistics.
- Leads Superintendents and Assistants, providing guidance on issue resolution and elevating issues as required.
- Coordinates and collaborates on project‑specific priorities with WDI supervisors, contractors, clients, consultants, schedulers, controllers, and team members.
- Is ultimately responsible for all field activities, safety, and quality.
- Intervenes on any inspection issues and manages Authority Handling Jurisdiction (AHJ) relations.
- Shares field lessons learned with other projects.
- Key stakeholder in developing logistics, field interface ride and show requirements.
- Strong organization and tracking skills.

- Ability to lead Pull Planning & collaborate with Planner / Scheduler.
- Manage multiple priorities.
- Justification for change/ directive writing.
- Technical experience and expertise in all areas of construction field activities.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in office and project related software: BIM 360 Field/Glue/Documents, Bluebeam, BOX, etc.
- Project management (document control) platforms: RFI/Submittal management (Smartsheet, NexGEN, PDC, Egnyte, etc.).
- Additional software knowledge: P6 scheduling, AutoCAD, Revit, Netpoint.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- 2 years of undergraduate schooling in a related construction field.
- 7 years outside field experience in applicable site development (attractions, commercial, residential, retail, or resort development projects) or 7‑10 years WDI project field experience relevant to the area.
