About The Role & Team

The Senior Financial Analyst position is part of the Facilities and Operations Services (FOS) Finance team, supporting Reedy Creek Energy Services (RCES). RCES operates eight utilities on behalf of the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) at Walt Disney World. This role provides financial decision support for CFTOD utilities, focusing on project funding, capital spending, billing, and specialized reporting. The position also manages complex analyses, management reporting, pro forma support, and the development and presentation of executive-level materials.

The ideal candidate will proactively deliver financial and business strategies by learning and understanding the business, and will be energized by active and diverse client support. The candidate should drive efficiency initiatives, maintain open communication, and help the team strategically plan for the future.

What You Will Do
  • Model debt service projections for long-lived asset replacements and new service initiatives.
  • Gather, analyze, and report on the status of capital project spending from both annual funding and long-term financed debt initiatives.
  • Assist with billing initiatives that combine project spending and the complex annual labor contract.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to Finance and Operations leadership.
  • Own key aspects of the Long-Term Plan, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and Annual Rate Setting processes.
  • Develop innovative solutions to support decision-making.
  • Proactively respond to client inquiries and make recommendations.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all financial information included in planning processes and financial analyses.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the supported business, proactively provide and analyze data before it is requested, and collaborate with partners to reach agreement on relevant issues.
  • Support Walt Disney Parks & Resorts finance processes to ensure the integrity of accounting functions, controls, and processes related to all finance and finance-related systems.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Growth mindset and ability to act as an agent of change to support the business, partners, and internal processes.
  • Efficiently leverage existing capabilities of available tools, including data analytics and third-party tools.
  • Experience designing, building, and rebuilding models to adapt to business needs.
  • Demonstrated good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to compose concise written descriptions of complex issues supported by detailed analysis.
  • Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Accounting experience, including reconciliations, accounting coding/general ledger, and robust knowledge of financial reporting.
  • Financial planning and budgeting experience, with an understanding of the traditional finance cycle (5-Year Plan, Annual Operating Plan, Forecast, etc.).
  • Proven strong analytical skills, including the ability to understand cause-and-effect dynamics within complex issues.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to develop a keen understanding of the business, the processes required to support it, and to build relationships with various partners.
  • Excellent partnering skills, with the ability to understand the unique aspects of the clients supported and how financial decisions impact their business.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Utility experience, including accounting for projects, billing, and rate setting.
  • Ability to simplify complex issues and incorporate effective storytelling to engage and influence audiences.
  • Ability to deliver presentations and communications to audiences at all levels persuasively, articulately, and with full command of the topic.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
