An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Carpenter and Joiner to join our team based in Durness, Sutherland.
The role involves working on a variety of construction and refurbishment projects, including new build housing, renovations and general joinery works.
This position would suit someone who takes pride in producing high-quality workmanship, enjoys practical hands‑on work, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team. The work is varied and often carried out in a unique rural and outdoor working environment.
The successful candidate will be expected to work to a high standard, manage their own tasks on site, and contribute positively to the team.
Responsibilities- Carrying out first fix and second fix joinery
- Timber frame erection and structural carpentry
- Installation of doors, windows, floors and internal finishes
- Roof work and general structural joinery
- Fitting kitchens and other bespoke joinery items
- Working on new build housing projects as well as refurbishment works
- Reading and working from drawings and specifications
- Ensuring work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
- Liaising with other trades and site personnel as required
