As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol in Laguna Hills, CA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare locations. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain highly visible to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and exceptional customer service will support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This is a driving post, where you will monitor the premises, respond to situations, and uphold our values of reliability, teamwork, and integrity every day.

- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to deter unwanted activity and monitor for security-related concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or hazards to appropriate personnel and/or law enforcement as directed.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency responders as needed.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site policies.
- Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation accurately and promptly.
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
