Job Summary: Make a meaningful impact in patients' lives as a Medical Assistant II on our premier Cardiology team. You'll deliver exceptional cardiovascular care while creating a supportive, compassionate environment for both patients and their families during their health journey. Responsibilities- Respond to all calls with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring accurate message taking and proper delivery to appropriate team members
- Document telephone contacts according to established protocols, with special attention to symptomatic patient communications
- Prepare for patient visits by previewing medical records before appointments, ensuring all relevant information is readily available
- Monitor patient status during specialized cardiovascular procedures while gathering and documenting essential clinical data
- Administer medications, treatments, and tests as directed by providers, following all state regulations and organizational policies
- Serve as a patient advocate, coordinating care and ensuring patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction
- Provide patient education using established protocols to support treatment plans and improve health outcomes
- Foster effective communication among healthcare providers, staff, patients, and service partners
- Maintain strict adherence to organizational policies, safety standards, and patient confidentiality requirements
- Participate in professional development opportunities and quality management initiatives
- Support special projects as assigned by leadership
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program (preferred)
- Current Basic Life Support Certification (required)
- 2-4 years of related healthcare experience (preferred)
- Exceptional organizational, project management, and time management abilities
- Outstanding customer service skills and interpersonal communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical record systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Bilingual capabilities (preferred but not required)
- Ability to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods
- Capacity to manage multiple telephone calls while multitasking effectively
- Detail‑oriented data processing for extended durations
- Ability to lift light objects and retrieve patient files
- Clear verbal communication skills for patient and team interactions

Pay Range$24.00 - $26.00 per hour (depending on experience)
