Orthopedic Technician or Sr. Orthopedic Technician - Laguna Hills Multispecialty

Position Summary

Incumbent assists physicians and nurses in the medical care and treatment of orthopedic outpatients. Performs clerical functions associated with the operations of a clinical office as necessary.

The role includes supporting on‑site orthopedic procedures, patient care coordination, and administrative tasks in the outpatient setting.

• Understanding of medical terminology.
• Possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Medical Assistant Diploma or Certificate of Competency / Recognition in Medical Assisting Clinical / Back Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated completion of extremity immobilization and/or casting workshop within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification upon hire.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to maintain a flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.

• Previous experience working as an Orthopedic Tech in an ambulatory setting.
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
• Bilingual skill in Spanish or Vietnamese or Chinese.
