Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform mechanical design activities of moderate complexity under the guidance of a senior level engineer.
- Develop and execute engineering studies and analysis of problems of moderate complexity.
- Lead basic design control projects adhering to applicable internal procedures, and external regulations and standards.
- Participate in risk management activities.
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Maintain compliance with Quality System procedures and company policies.
- Skilled at use of one or more mechanical design and engineering analysis tools.
- Experienced in the process of design, rapid prototyping, construction, test, and analysis of components or subassemblies.
- Demonstrated skill in analyzing and solving problems of moderate complexity.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of design control activities in a regulated industry.
- Exposure to Design of Experiments methods.
- Exposure to risk management processes and practices.
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting of system problems to the component level.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required with a minimum of 2 years of related experience, or an advanced degree without experience.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Must be able to safely move up to 25 lbs.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand and exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
- Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
We pay competitively. The base salary for this position is $93,000 – $112,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and location. Additional compensation such as annual or commission bonuses may be available.
