• Perform mechanical design activities of moderate complexity under minimal guidance.
• Leads cross functional product development projects of minimal to moderate complexity
• Develop and execute engineering studies and analysis of problems of moderate complexity utilizing the appropriate tools and methods (DOE, Minitab, FEA, Mold flow, thermal analysis, etc.)
• Lead risk management activities.
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
• Maintain compliance with Quality System procedures and company policies

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical degree) with 5+ years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of related experience; or a PhD with 2+ years of related experience.
• Experienced in the process of design, rapid prototyping, construction, test, and analysis of complex components or subsystems.
• Demonstrated skill in analyzing and solving complex problems and troubleshooting system issues of a complex nature.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of the product development process and design control activities in a regulated industry.
• Ability to utilize Design of Experiments to resolve complex problems
• Demonstrated knowledge of risk management processes and practices.
• Demonstrated proficiency in design for manufacturability, serviceability, and reliability (DFx).

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
• Must be able to safely move up to 25 lbs
• The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
• Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).

We pay competitively. The base salary/hourly rate range for this position is $114,000 – $142,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and location. Additional compensation such as annual or commission bonuses may be available.
