Job Description

Supply Chain Coordinator

The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for the daily inventory replenishment for emergency and/or medical surgical units. The role also involves acting as a liaison between Supply Chain and end-users.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate supply acquisition and distribution for stock and non-stock items.
  • Create, organize, and manage supply pars, including par levels and barcode labeling.
  • Manage non-stock to stock item requests via the ACI process.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining par forms in Lawson and Mobile Supply Chain systems.
  • Utilize barcode scanning for supply management.
  • Coordinate product returns, recalls, and substitutions, ensuring proper credit.
  • Engage with senior buyers and vendors regarding shipment issues.
  • Check stock status and back orders.
  • Verify expiration dates and rotate stock during replenishment.
  • Manage slow-moving or obsolete supplies.
  • Report discrepancies and shortages.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinicians and suppliers.
  • Resolve receipt discrepancies under supervision.
  • Verify and deliver incoming supplies.
  • Handle shipping and receiving activities.
  • Manage high-value supplies and medical devices, including tracking.
  • Oversee issuance and maintenance of minor equipment.
  • Transport pharmaceuticals and reagents properly.
  • Maintain product knowledge.
  • Manage product recalls and expired products according to policies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
  • Handle bio-hazardous substances safely.
  • Maintain safety and proper labeling of supply areas.
  • Coordinate product evaluations and standardizations.
  • Perform inventory counts and manage inventory levels.
  • Assist with year-end physical counts.
  • Identify and recommend removal of obsolete items.
  • Manage freight shipping and costs.
  • Minimize expired products through regular checks.
  • Coordinate exchanges and returns of inventory.
  • Maintain optimal supply levels.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Provide courteous service and anticipate customer needs.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinicians and suppliers.
    • Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or related field.
    • 1-3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory, or distribution.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team.
