Dock Workers are responsible for loading and unloading trailers for the purpose of transporting a wide variety of cargo, moving cargo, driving a forklift, or using a pallet jack or other freight handling equipment for transit. They operate mobile technology, complete all required paperwork, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.

• Effectively operate mobile technology.
• Load and unload trailers for the purpose of transporting a wide variety of cargo.
• Actual duties and schedule may vary depending on terminal location.
• Perform equipment preventive maintenance in accordance with ABF's program.
• Move cargo, drive forklift, and use pallet jack or other freight handling equipment.
• Prepare freight for transit.
• Complete all required paperwork.

• This is a casual position; employees must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and on an as‑needed basis.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Have a stable work record.
• Have a good safety record.
• Be able to pass pre‑employment drug screen and post‑offer company physical.
• Shift days and hours required for this position vary by location and may include days, nights, and/or weekends. Ability to work the required hours is considered a minimum requirement.
