Brief Description
Stuller's Maintenance department plays a vital role in ensuring the ongoing functionality and upkeep of our equipment, machinery, and facilities. Composed of skilled professionals—including custodians, electricians, and AC technicians—they manage routine and facility maintenance, respond to emergencies, handle inventory, and perform equipment calibration, all while upholding safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
The Facility Apprentice assists with the maintenance and repair of building structures, equipment, and machinery, supporting various trade areas under general supervision. This role ensures the safe operation and upkeep of facilities through hands‑on repair work and routine maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Perform maintenance and repair tasks of moderate complexity in at least one trade area.
- Adjust, align, and balance equipment and control instruments using hand tools and measuring devices.
- Clean, lubricate, and replace machine parts to ensure efficient operation.
- Assist in maintaining mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components of production machines.
- Repair and maintain building structures, including floors, ceilings, walls, roofs, and fixtures.
- Support installation and upkeep of specialized equipment found in cafeterias, offices, and production areas.
- Document repairs and maintenance performed accurately.
- Transport tools, equipment, and materials between work areas as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift certification.
- Basic mechanical skills, including knowledge of tools, repair, and maintenance.
- Ability to understand and follow written instructions and safety guidelines.
- Strong integrity and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and continuously improve.
- Technical or trade school certification in a related field.
- 6 months of experience in a similar maintenance role.
- Knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and machinery operation.
- Strong problem‑solving and adaptability skills.
