Job SummaryThe Service Technician I is responsible for execution of tasks as assigned by the Lead Service Technician, Service Supervisor, Project Manager, and/or other Management. Specific job tasks would include but not be limited to assisting with Hydrostatic Testing;
Pipeline Pigging (Dewatering, Drying);
Pump Operating;
Chemicals;
Overboard Water Filtration; N2 Pumping/Purging. The Service Technician I will conduct all activities in an accountable, respectful, and professional manner at all times and fully support the completion of work in accordance with Blue Fin quality and safety standards. Works under close supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
- Perform field services as directed and in accordance with work plan, procedures and/or SOP, and ability to distinguish the work at hand from the work plan/procedure and how to proceed
- Service, maintain, repair, and test equipment/ tools for pre/post jobs or as instructed in shop
- Load/ unload equipment when required
- Ability to learn all equipment used in the field
- Ability to identify issues on the job
- Experience with basic hand and power tools
- Communicate effectively with co-workers both office and field related
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Participate in writing Job Safety and Environmental Analysis (JSEA) for job task assigned
- Increase knowledge and participate in training on other product lines and services
- Participation and Compliance with Blue Fin HSE and Quality Management System
- Required to work on both land and offshore jobs
- Available 24-hour call (except for scheduled PTO)
- Have reliable means of transportation to and from Blue Fin office
- Travels through United States and Gulf of Mexico; staying overnight for extended periods
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Extensive travel may be required
- Ability to work in harsh environmental conditions
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
