Tubing Fitter; Iberia, LA

Position: Tubing Fitter (New Iberia, LA)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Fabricate and assemble stainless steel tubing in group and single line runs.

* Install tubing on instrumentation with accuracy and quality.

* Understand and read P& and fabrication drawings.

* Assist and maintain a high level of work quality.

* Perform all work in accordance with established safety standards and industry regulations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

* Three (3) years of instrumentation experience.

* Technical certification or diploma in instrumentation and pneumatic systems preferred.

* In-depth knowledge of pneumatic devices, valves, actuators, and control systems.

* Knowledge of PPE equipment required for the tasks.

* Dedicated to constant improvement and attention to detail.

* Needs to live within a 30-mile radius of New Iberia, LA office.

SKILLS:

* Excellent tubing installation and problem-solving skills.

* Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment.

* Instrumentation tubing installation techniques.

* Strong understanding of instrumentation principles.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills.

WORK

CONDITIONS:

* May be required to work on weekends and/or overtime when necessary.

* The position will work primarily in a panel shop and fabrication facility. Subject to time pressures and constraints and is also dependent on input from others. Need to be fit for duty.

* May require standing, bending, or lifting heavy equipment during the installation and maintenance process.

* Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety goggles, gloves, and steel-toe boots are mandatory.

* Must have a valid driver's license and will need to meet the company's insurers driving policy requirements.

* Subject to a background check, as well as drug and alcohol testing, per applicable federal regulations.
