Job Title:
Pipefitter
Location: Lafayette
Pay: $45/hr
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining piping systems used in a variety of industrial and commercial settings. The Pipefitter will work with various types of piping materials, interpret blueprints, and ensure that all installations meet safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of piping systems
- Cut, thread, and hammer pipes according to specifications
- Weld, braze, cement, solder, or glue joints to assemble piping systems
- Inspect and test installed systems for leaks and ensure they meet regulations
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter or similar role
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of various piping materials and their applications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy equipment and tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills
