Security Officer - X-Ray Screener in Carencro, LA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor entry points and conduct screening activities to support smooth operations. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with employees, drivers, and visitors, and document observations that may help reduce security-related incidents.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $15.24 / Hour

Job Schedule: Monday through Sunday as assigned. Specific shifts may include overnight and weekend hours based on site needs.

• Provide customer service to the client by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, and contractors as required, including verifying identification and access authorization, inspecting belongings and/or packages, and directing individuals to proper check-in processes.
• Operate and monitor entry control points such as gates, guard shacks, and/or screening stations, documenting access activity per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols and security-related inspections of work areas, building entrances, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

• CPR Certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card and/or security-related license is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
