Merchandiser/Cashier
O'Reilly Auto Parts is looking for a Merchandiser/Cashier to greet customers, assist them in locating merchandise, and protect the store from theft. You will maintain front‑floor displays, manage inventory, and perform cashier duties in a fast‑paced retail environment.
Essential Job Functions- Greet customers on the sales floor and direct them to the appropriate product or parts specialist.
- Check out customers and deter shoplifters.
- Keep the front area stocked and fronted; maintain merchandise display according to planograms.
- Update front‑floor pricing and signage for sales and non‑sales items.
- Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
- Complete store To‑Do List and Team Weekly tasks with manager.
- Act as primary shop‑lifting deterrent/front‑floor security.
- Assist with O'Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
- Clock in/out as per company policy.
- Handle cashier duties: check out front‑floor merchandise, process returns, assist in express lane, and accept payments via cash, checks, and credit cards.
- Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences.
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Previous cashier and/or stocking experience (desired).
- Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
- Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish (highly desired).
- Bilingual candidates encouraged.
