• Schedule: Night Shift – 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

The Registered Nurse (Medical/Surgical) provides professional nursing care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code for Nurses
. The RN serves as a clinical leader and partner on the interdisciplinary healthcare team, ensuring the delivery of safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care while supporting the organization’s mission and nursing philosophy.

• Deliver evidence-based patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Communicate, delegate, and direct nursing staff and ancillary team members effectively.
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and modify care plans to achieve optimal results.
• Provide patient and family education tailored to individual needs.
• Serve as a role model for professional accountability, teamwork, and ethical practice.
• Maintain awareness of and compliance with safety, privacy, and infection control regulations.
• Adapt to diverse patient populations and changing clinical environments.
• Maintain knowledge of current nursing practices and participate in quality-improvement initiatives.

• Minimum 2 years of orthopedic or medical/surgical nursing experience required.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Louisiana (or compact state).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.

• Certification in a clinical specialty area preferred.
• Experience in acute or inpatient hospital settings.
• Proven leadership and delegation skills within interdisciplinary teams.

• Required: Registered Nurse diploma
• Preferred: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

• Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 lbs. occasionally and 50 lbs. frequently.
• Regular exposure to blood, body fluids, and communicable diseases
  .
• May encounter hazardous medications or waste; PPE provided per hospital standards.
