CGI Federal is seeking a Next-Gen Alert Monitoring Analyst to join our Cyber Analysis and Research Engineering (CARE) team on a CDM shared services program. In this role, you’ll help strengthen the security posture of multiple agencies by detecting and mitigating cyber risks.

This position is based in one of CGI Federal’s offices in Fairfax, VA or Lafayette, LA. A hybrid work model is available:

• Day Shift: Onsite three days per week
• Night Shift: Fully remote

• Monitor network, endpoint, and application activity through logs and dashboards.
• Investigate alerts, analyze suspicious behavior, and correlate data across systems.
• Assess incidents for impact, threat mechanisms, and map TTPs.
• Escalate critical issues and provide clear remediation steps.
• Own response and recovery actions for alerts.
• Document alert details and CARE recommendations accurately.

• Maintain at least two certifications from the following:
  • Security+
  • Network+
  • Elastic or Splunk Certified Engineer
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+)
  • SANS GIAC Incident Handler (GCIH)
  • EC-Council Certified Incident Handler (E|CIH)
• Desired qualifications:
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Team-oriented mindset

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 – $.
