Job Description
We are currently offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus with a 1-year full-time commitment.
Job SummaryThe LPN Clinic is responsible for providing patient care following established standards and practices. It assists physicians, nurses, and staff with daily coordination of patient care and access. Coordinates patient flow, schedules appointments, procedures, tests, and referrals. May serve as a preceptor for clinical staff. Works under general supervision and may lead and direct the work of others within the scope of practice.
Responsibilities- TECHNICAL TASKS
- Triage calls and determine appropriate medical decision making (e.g., divert to Emergency Department, STEP IN clinic, or PCP).
- Demonstrate competency and accuracy in all work tasks.
- Answer telephone courteously and route calls, chart information in EMR, and take complete and accurate messages.
- Assess the medical and nursing care rendered by self and others; communicate needs for improvement to superiors.
- Use appropriate triage protocols via EMR to guide patient care in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Improve technical skills, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills as needed.
- Fill in and assist other office staff during absences or workload increases.

- Complete nursing duties accurately and promptly without compromising quality.
- Use interpersonal skills to achieve patient outcomes and maintain honesty and transparency.
- Utilize internal and external resources to meet patient and family needs.
- Identify problems, assist in assessing patient health status, and plan care accordingly.
- Prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt as needed.
- Deliver quality patient care with courtesy and professionalism.
- Follow fire safety, hazardous materials handling (if applicable), and infection control policies.
- Explain therapies, tests, and treatments to patients and families.
- Demonstrate good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS
- Support the mission and values of the organization; participate in committees and projects as required; communicate suggestions for improvements to leadership.
- Maintain a comfortable and safe patient care environment.
- Assist in onboarding new personnel as required.
- Establish and maintain positive rapport with staff; greet patients and visitors in a courteous and empathetic manner.
- Other Duties as Assigned
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed by the organization.
- Education:
Graduate of accredited LPN program. - Licensure:
Current Louisiana State license as LPN and BLS certification.
