Job Details:

• Must be charge capable and willing to charge

• Orthopedic experience required

• EPIC experience required

• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required

• No on-call requirements

• May be floated to other in-patient units (Rehab, post-op trauma, ortho neuro trauma, med-surg, oncology, observation)

• Care for patients with total joint replacements (knees, hips, shoulders), ortho spine procedures (ACDF, TILF), and other orthopedic surgeries including tendon repairs and revisions

• Work with special equipment including bladder scanner, Hoyer lift, and orthopedic braces

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA certifications required)

• Must have Louisiana license or Compact license in hand upon submittal

• NURSYS reports required with profile (must be updated within 4 weeks of submission)

• No RTO greater than 2 weeks allowed

• Block scheduling not accommodated

• Must be over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)

• May be assigned to Emergency Team during emergency events with expectation to stay until event passes

• Orientation held 5 days a week with billable modules completed during orientation
