Join the Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist role assisting physicians in interventional, cardiovascular, and operating room procedures. Use pre‑established imaging protocols and departmental policy to safely operate imaging equipment. Provide education to patients and families. Focus on developing skills in scrubbing and monitoring in the cardiac cath lab, electrophysiology, and/or interventional radiology. Reports to Manager or Supervisor.

• Assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment of cardiac or peripheral vascular procedures, including implanting pacemakers and assisting with balloon angioplasties.
• Follow ALARA guidelines and operate fluoroscopic imaging equipment to produce contrast‑enhanced radiographs.
• Check, test, and maintain fluoroscopy equipment; complete daily checks and document results; notify Lead or Service when checks fail.
• Monitor patients’ blood pressure, oxygen Saturation, Heart Rate, Comfort and Safety; ensure accurate Vital Sign documentation and alert physicians of abnormalities.
• Use Electrocardiogram (EKG) equipment during diagnostic or Therapeutic procedures.
• Maintain a proper Sterile field during Surgical procedures.
• Complete Additional duties within specified timeframe as required by Managers/ Supervisors.

• Entry level – no experience needed.
• High School or Equivalent.
• Graduate of Accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.
• License or Certification:
  American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, ARRT (R).
• State licensure:
  Louisiana / Mississippi License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Compassionate Patient Care.
• Effective Communication.
• Attention to Detail.
