Clinical Assistant II – Solis Mammography

LocationWork Location: 935 Camellia Blvd, Suite 100, Lafayette, LA 70508
HoursWork Hours: Full‑Time, 40 hours weekly, Monday‑Friday, 7:00 am‑4:00 pm
ResponsibilitiesThe Clinical Assistant II is responsible for assisting the clinical team to provide efficient workflow and exceptional service, impacting profitability through outstanding patient care and center flow.
- Assist in clinical patient care and medical procedures after training and competency verification.
- Facilitate appropriate patient flow between registration and modalities.
- Chaperone radiologists and assist with procedures.
- Set up trays for procedures.
- Use RIS/PACS and Penrad/Mag View.
- Schedule patients for follow‑up and additional exams.
- Verify and input patient information accurately.
- Explain and assist patients with forms.
- Track and obtain pathology results for data reporting.
- Scan documents into patient records.
- Handle general patient call inquiries.
- Refer medical result questions to the clinical team.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Adhere to attendance policy.
- Participate in front office training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
- Energetic and flexible.
- Manages multiple projects and timelines.
- Well‑organized and detail oriented.
- Exhibits sound judgment.
- Forms strong working relationships within team.
- Identifies additional tasks and assists others.
- Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Minimum two years’ experience in healthcare or customer service preferred.
- College coursework or Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
- Clinical training and competency verification by Solis Clinical Education Program as required.
- Can freeze and print ultrasound images only under radiologist direction.
- Can explain procedure and act as a witness, but final informed consent is radiologist responsibility.
- Cannot manage medications; only a radiologist may draw them up.
- Pathology requisitions require radiologist review for accuracy.
- Bone density exams only after written authorization and state regulations.
