This job leads the daily operations of personnel and processes of assigned clinical department(s) in collaboration with the clinic leadership. Assists in the implementation of policies and procedures required for success and participates in initiatives to improve processes and patient care activities.

Responsibilities- Coordinate staff performance by collaborating with other team members to allocate labor resources among clinics and monitor production.
- Monitor patient flow activities.
- Monitor department metric performance.
- Assist in the training, orientation and staff development programs.
- Assist with patient registration tasks when necessary.
- Provide training and mentoring to clinical staff and provide feedback to the leader for staff performance evaluations.
- Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Education: Required – High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred – Associate’s degree.
- Work Experience: Required – 2 years of healthcare experience. Preferred – Previous lead or supervisory experience.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications;
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally;
Knowledge of patient registration and medical terminology;
Ability to work a flexible schedule (24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability).
Sedentary work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue and as part of their employment, incumbents are not called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.
There is no occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases.
Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
