Overview
CGI Federal is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Grant Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a professional with 3–5 years of experience who possesses strong problem-solving skills, excellent oral and written communication abilities, and a solid understanding of operational and financial accounting concepts. As a Grant Analyst at CGI Federal, you will assist with financial reporting activities related to eligible tax credit and grant programs.
You will work closely with senior business leaders in Lafayette and Knoxville, as well as finance staff locally and s position offers significant opportunities for professional growth through internal and external development programs, enabling you to advance your career within CGI. This position is located in our Lafayette, LA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
- Assist with all financial reporting activities for eligible tax credit and grant programs, including invoicing, analysis, and reporting.
- Review projects for qualifying grant reimbursements.
- Prepare and review monthly charges to workforce development grants.
- Prepare and submit monthly grant invoice submissions with supporting documentation.
- Record monthly accruals for expected grant reimbursements and tax credits.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for tax credits and grants.
- Reconcile wage and tax registers to payroll and timesheets on a quarterly basis.
- Prepare annual tax credit submissions for internal review and auditor submission.
- Compile annual compliance and financial reports for state submission.
- Generate monthly internal financial status reports for senior management.
- Support internal and external audit requests.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses as needed.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA Preferred).
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in financial reporting or grant/tax credit programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective oral and written communication abilities.
- Solid understanding of operational and financial accounting principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively with finance team members and senior leadership.
- Strong Excel Skills

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role.
Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $58,000.00 - $.
